Automated Control Systems and UL Certified Panel Builder
Gyver Industries can provide programmable logic controllers (PLC’s) or programmable automation controllers (PAC’s) on various platforms and our control systems include human machine interface (HMI) operator stations resulting in a streamlined wastewater treatment system. This can minimize operational and maintenance costs by utilizing digital real time automated adaptiveness for maintaining consistent water quality during treatment, data logging for seamlessly compiling permit required information, and monitoring system alarms providing notifications to alert the operators and minimize system downtime. Gyver Industries’ engineers will also provide written process descriptions and if required work with contract programmers to develop the program code for control platforms currently used by a facility or directly with a facility programmer. Gyver engineers compile and prepare operations and maintenance manuals for the specific treatment systems and processes for each facility.

Gyver Industries is certified as a 508A UL panel building shop. Gyver’s engineers and electricians are  able to design a control cabinet to include specifying the specific components required, provide detailed CAD drawings of the cabinet layout, assemble the cabinet, pre-wire the cabinet in preparationfor field installation, and field wiring.

Double Duplex Stainless Steel

Gyver’s AutoCAD department will produce either two or three dimensional drawings for a wastewater system. Drawings of individual components as well as completely assembled units or systems will be provided in detail. Gyver Industries can provide complete design services for system and/or equipment layouts, piping schematics, electrical schematics, and process and instrumentation diagrams.

The picture below is of a wastewater treatment system designed by Gyver to treat oil and gas field produced wastewaters. Gyver provided construction supervision, startup, commissioning, and training of the operators. Gyver assisted with the various environmental permitting requirements and inspections during construction to allow the facility to start operations while still under construction.

Complex Stationary Oil Field Produced Wastewater Pretreatment System..

This system included the following processes: grit separation, oil separation, air stripping, down flow filtration through a walnut shell filter, chemical conversion, chemical precipitation of heavy metals, high shear mixing, ceramic microfiltration, carbon absorption, sludge dewatering with a filter press, reverse osmosis, clean in place operations, permitted surface discharge including monitoring, coarse filtration by bag filter, and waste injection to a disposal well.

This facility was operational for approximately 16 months before being shut down for lack of supplied wastewater due to the turn down of the oilfields in that area.

Gyver Field Pilot Testing Unit
Since working on the Harley Dome facility Gyver is in the developmental stage of a field pilot unit (pictured below) that will allow pilot testing at 15 to 30 gallons per minute of industrial wastewater with various pretreatment chemistries, and separation or filtration methods up to reverse osmosis. The unit is being built based on knowledge and experience acquired in treating wastewater from: plating shops, circuit board manufacturing, powder coating shops, specialty fastener manufacturing, acid mine drainage, wire manufacturing, food preparation equipment manufacturing, brewery wastewaters, petroleum produced wastewaters for surface discharge, and biological laboratory wastewater. Gyver is able to perform bench and pilot testing to determine the best and most economical treatment method for each individual wastewater stream. Gyver would like to offer a tour of this equipment if you are interested.

Gyver Industries’ process engineer is certified by the State of Colorado as a Class A Industrial Wastewater Operator and is also certified as a Class C Wastewater Operator. Current copies of certifications are available up on request. Gyver Industries realizes that most industrial wastewater treatment systems are unique and require designs and equipment specific to the needs of the facility.

Gyver Industries’ engineers are able to: recommend laboratory analytical test parameters based on processes or suspected contaminates; design and perform bench testing; design and perform complex pilot testing to determine a built out system design; and prepare test and design reports based on data from the bench or pilot tests.

Gyver Industries employees have experience in a vast number of areas. Being a small company, Gyver understands the need to minimize overhead costs for waste management systems.

Gyver works with our clients to design a project that is safe, effective, in the most economical manner, meeting an established project budget for construction and installation. While Gyver is small, we have successfully managed and completed multi-million dollar projects within the United States and internationally.

If your facility or project requires an industrial wastewater pretreatment system for any industrial wastewater stream to include oil or gas field produced wastewater, Gyver would welcome the opportunity to discuss your needs with you.

If you have any questions or would like additional information please contact Gyver Industries at (970) 568-4220.
