Gyver Industries, Inc. (Gyver) would like to take this opportunity to introduce ourselves and our qualifications to treat industrial wastewater streams including those produced during the brewing, maintenance, and clean-in-place (CIP) operations in breweries.
Types of wastewaters Gyver Industries engineers have experience treating include:
Metal Plating Rinse Wastewater
Oil Field Produced Wastewater
Gas Field Produced Wastewater
Coal Bed Methane Wastewater
Brewery Wastewater
Concentrated Metal Plating Solutions
Oil Field Frack Flow Back Water
Acid Mine Drainage
Coal Pile Runoff Water
Biological Laboratory Wastewater
Development of Processes to Remove Guar from Oil Field Produced Wastewater
In today’s world of operating a brewery, an area of operation that can be overlooked is the treatment of industrial wastewaters generated during operations. Discharging untreated industrial wastewaters to the sanitary system maybe allowed by the local municipality but some of the solutions used in the CIP operations can be corrosive to discharge piping, manholes, etc., as well as damaging to piping due to high temperatures of some solutions. Additionally, as facilities grow they may eventually be required to obtain discharge permits from the local municipality to discharge the industrial wastewater.
If your facility is required to adjust and maintain the discharge wastewater pH, reduce total suspended solids (TSS) or biochemical oxygen demand (BOD) loadings, or to treat other discharge parameters that you may be required to meet, Gyver can design and build a system to meet your needs.
Whether your facility wants to be proactive as an environmentally leading company or are required to treat the industrial wastewater discharged by your facility, Gyver can design, build, install, and commission an industrial wastewater system that will meet your company’s current and future needs in the area of treating and monitoring industrial wastewater generated and discharged during brewery operations.
Gyver Industries has the following resources and capabilities to assist with any wastewater issues your facility may have:
- Gyver has a fabrication shop able to work on small or large projects in; PVC, CPVC, mild steel, stainless steel, or super duplex materials.
- Gyver is qualified to weld steel, stainless steel, super duplex materials.
- Gyver has an AutoCAD department able to provide complete design services for system or equipment layouts, piping schematics, electrical schematics, and Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
- Gyver has on staff a process engineer who is certified by the State of Colorado as a Class A Industrial Wastewater Operator with 30 years’ experience treating various types of industrial wastewater as well as having 25 years’ experience in environmental consulting; working with clients and their municipalities or regulatory agencies concerning permitting and compliance.
- Gyver employees have extensive knowledge in various parameter monitoring and data logging equipment.
- Gyver can design and build wastewater treatment systems on portable skids.
- Gyver can design and build wastewater treatment systems onsite as a permanent installation to meet facility and code requirements.
- Gyver has designed and written programs for various programmable logic controllers (PLC) and human machine interface (HMI) systems to automate the control, operation, and data logging for regulatory report generation of an industrial wastewater treatment system.
- Gyver Industries is certified as a 508A UL electrical panel construction shop.
- The attached statement of qualifications identifies additional types of wastewater projects, treatment methods, and equipment that Gyver is experienced with.
- Gyver recently installed an industrial wastewater lift station at a local Front Range Brewery facility in Colorado (name provided on request). This installation included automated wastewater sampling equipment as well as logging of monitored data for specific parameters as required by their permit.
- An inline pH adjustment system with automated diversion back to the lift station was designed, installed, and commissioned by Gyver.
- The lift station is located underground next to a 10’ by 12’ shed where the wastewater is monitored, pH adjusted, recirculated back to the lift station if necessary or directed to the discharge drain.
- Gyver is able to design, procure, install, and provide training for wastewater pretreatment systems that are very simple to extremely complicated to meet the needs of a facility and their permit.

Gyver Industries is a small, family owned company, having low overhead, with employees who have experience in a vast number of areas. Being a small company, Gyver understands small companies, and the need to minimize overhead costs for waste management systems. Gyver works with our clients to design a project that is safe, effective, in the most economical manner to meet an established project budget for construction, and installation. While Gyver is small, we have successfully managed and completed multi-million dollar projects as well.Gyver’s projects have us traveling throughout the United States as well as internationally.
If your facility is considering installing or upgrading its industrial wastewater pretreatment system Gyver would welcome the opportunity to discuss your needs with you. If you have any questions or would like additional information, please contact Gyver Industries at (970) 568-4220.
